Lambert wedding photo revisited.

I added some text, a border, and cropped this photo from the Lambert Wedding, circa June 2013. I really like the fresh take on this one! So nice to be able to include my business name, as well.

FYI - I used a photo editing website called picmonkey.com to make these changes. It makes it very easy for novices like myself to edit or add effects to photos.

The original photo was taken by Britta Ellis of Ellis Photographic. She is an enormously talented photographer (among other things)! She does amazing portraits of kids and families, as well as food.

As Borat would say, great success!

Which one do you like better? Post your thoughts to let me know!

Peter Rabbit baby shower cupcakes

It's a shame that I didn't get these photographed during daylight hours. The wrappers and toppers are probably the cutest ones I've ever made!! The expectant mother, an old co-worker of mine, decided not to find out the baby's gender, so I got to make boy and girl cupcake decor.

I got to choose the flavors, and went with the crowd-pleasing chocolate peanut butter and berry lemonade (white cake, mixed berry filling, lemon curd frosting).

I'm just totally in love with the little bunnies!

Cupcake Update - new flavors, new designs, always yum.

The following maple-bacon cupcakes were for a birthday man: a beer drinking, motorcycle riding, Duck football loving kind of man.

Fundraiser cupcakes: chocolate peanut butter and raspberry lemonade

These are turning out to be my best-selling flavors, but on this particular occasion, I handed them out for free. The event was a fundraiser auction to benefit a young mother battling cancer.

The fundraiser was very successful! Some participants walked away with gift certificates to Jana Fitch Cakes, along with many other great items. I felt honored to be able to contribute.

I love the way these cupcake wrappers turned out! I used a fresh mix of colors and adorable patterns. FYI, this is exactly six dozen cupcakes - and they all got gobbled up :)

Here is my sweet little table:

Short but sweet: a fine selection of single tier cakes.

Boston cream 'pie' with girly details for a small baby shower. First cake I ever sold!

One of my first 'real cakes': strawberry cream cheese with a dusting of cocoa powder (for my mother in law's birthday).

Orange almond butter cake with vanilla buttercream and fondant.

White velvet cake with coconut cream filling, Italian meringue buttercream, and fondant.

This is a little girl's birthday cake to which the mother added a my little pony :)
Confetti cake, strawberry mousse filling, vanilla buttercream and fondant.

Six inch "cutting cake" for a wedding where lots of cupcakes were served. Lemon poppyseed with fresh raspberry puree, vanilla buttercream and fondant. Decorated with ribbon and real feathers.
